A components company for the alkaline hydrogen economy

Greenprastha makes the components that decide how alkaline electrolysers perform, starting with the separator. This page sets out the public picture. Detailed materials are shared with qualified investors under NDA.

The case in brief

Why Greenprastha

Alkaline electrolysis is the workhorse of green hydrogen. Its performance depends on a few components that India still imports. We make them better, and we make them here.

01

A market being built now

India has moved from targets to awarded capacity, and alkaline electrolysers account for most of the world's installed base.

02

A critical, imported component

The separator sets the cell voltage and the gas purity of every alkaline cell. India's stack makers largely import it today.

03

A measurably better product

Nerva H2Sep 500 delivers more current at the same voltage and a much stronger sheet than a commercial reference, in a drop-in format.

04

Demand that repeats

Separators are replaced when stacks are rebuilt, so every installed megawatt becomes a recurring need through the life of the plant.

05

A platform, not a single product

One materials science and one quality system extend from separators to electrodes, zero-gap assemblies, replacement programmes and testing.

06

Deep science, industrial discipline

Developed at IIT Bombay, incubated at SINE, with lot-level quality records and traceability from the first roll.

* Measured at IIT Bombay against a commercial 500 µm-class reference. Typical values, not a specification.

The market

Green hydrogen is moving from targets to orders

5 MMTIndia's green hydrogen target for 2030 (National Green Hydrogen Mission)
862 ktpagreen hydrogen capacity awarded incentives in India
~60%of global electrolyser manufacturing capacity sits in China
~150 m²of separator for every MW of alkaline electrolysis

Sources: National Green Hydrogen Mission (MNRE); Business Standard / MNRE (24 Sep 2026); IEA Global Hydrogen Review 2025; BNEF via Hydrogen Insight (alkaline share); Greenprastha estimate at 0.4 A/cm², ~1.9 V (separator area). More on the market

Electrolyser makers want components that perform better and come from more than one country. That is the gap Greenprastha fills.
